If you’re looking for a patinated copper with maximum impact, this is it. Northumberland is our signature creation, and one we’re especially proud of. Inspired by the gorgeous seascapes and beaches on our doorstep, it mixes the earthy tones of natural copper with whorls of verdigris in shades of turquoise and jade.
Verdigris is the patina that appears on certain metals when they’re exposed to the elements, like old sculptures or rooftops that turn a mint green. By speeding up the ageing process, we create this reaction to the degree you wish.
We hand-age quality copper sheets in our studio, working with you to achieve precisely the look you’ve imagined. Once you’re happy with the effect, we’ll seal it with either a matte or gloss finish.
Northumberland is suitable for a range of interior applications, but it’s particularly popular for statement walls and functional, beautiful splashbacks.

We use the finish as a starting point but please note that all finishes are bespoke and may not be exactly the same is images shown on the site.
Are the pieces easy to take care of?
Along with your order you will be send complete aftercare instructions.
What are the largest sizes that can be made?
Our largest sheet is 2000x1000. Any larger pieces required will need to be produced in multiple sheets. We will age the pieces together to minimise the visibility of the join as much as possible. eg:
- 2800mmx900mm would need to be ordered and supplied in 2 1400mmx900mm
- 2800mmx1200mm would need to ordered and supplied in 4 1400mmx600mm
- tip* splashbacks often look better aesthetically when split into 3 pieces
