Fish & Chip Shop Counters in St. Column Cornwall

aged copper counters in fish and chip shop

This aged copper counter project combined two of our favourite things, Cornwall and fish and chips!

The project required a series of 8 aged copper panels to add a new element to the Port and Starboard fish and chip shop in St. Columb Cornwall. The owner wanted a statement piece and something that could handle the unique environment and busy footfall of a seaside chip shop.

We used 8 bespoke 0.9mm copper sheets with the Northumberland finish. Each sheet was aged at the same time to provide a coherent patina and given strong verdigris elements to add character.

Each sheet was then finished with tough lacquer to prevent further ageing and to protect the material.

We think it looks amazing. We’re sure you’ll agree!
